Shirley Bendavid-Stobnicky BA Hons, M. Ed
Shirley Bendavid-Stobnicky is President of Creative Partners in Performance Inc. an Organizational Consulting Firm specializing in Leadership & Top Team Development, Executive Coaching, Conflict Resolution, Communications, Human Resources Support and Training.

Shirley offers strength and capability in the areas of Enhancing Leadership competence, developing next generation talent, experiential learning strategies with a focus on curriculum design and development, critical thinking, straight talk, ownership and accountability; e-Learning, stakeholder engagement, performance management and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) all designed to support business strategy.

Over Shirley’s 25-year career, she has held Senior Corporate positions in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Life & Health Insurance & Personal Lines Claims, Training and Change Communications in major multi-national organizations in both the private and public sector.

Shirley’s client engagements include a nice blend of Public and Private Sector clients complemented by a standing working relationship within the Legal, Pharmaceutical, Telecommunications, Energy, Construction and Insurance industry.

Shirley brings a fresh, honest, and candid approach to her consulting engagements. Clients have commented on her sharp business acumen when discussing and diagnosing their needs. She can comfortably shift from big picture discussions to a more micro focus when required and those she has served are impressed by her initiative, attention to detail and creativity when focusing on curriculum design and experiential based learning.

Shirley’s recent learning and developmental engagements have included:

  • Design, development, implementation, facilitation and impact assessment of a multi-leveled Leadership Boot Camp that focuses on enhancing leadership capability on a variety of fronts. The design features of these sessions are focused on driving a high performance culture, leveraging multi-generational diversity and how to have critical and courageous conversations in both a union and non-union environment.
  • Varied client engagements within the Legal, Medical and Pharmaceutical arena with a focus on Executive Team Leadership Development, Executive Coaching, Team Building, Stakeholder Engagement, Relationship Building complemented by a series of Executive Offsite Retreats
  • The design and facilitation of focus group discussions, interventions, employee and client opinion/satisfaction surveys, leadership diagnostics such as Executive Team Leader Assessments, 360 Leadership Assessments
  • The development of an integrated communication platform for the Leadership Team of an International Insurance Company in both official languages
  • Design and development of a 3-tiered learning platform for various Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) initiatives in both official languages (both private and public sector)
  • Design, development and implementation of a National Claims School for a large National Insurance Company leading to enhancing claim leadership capability
  • Design, development and facilitation of a series of employee and stakeholder learning initiatives for Cabinet Operations, Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC), Ministry of Municipal Affairs & Housing and Ministry of Research and Innovation (MRI)
  • The design, development and implementation of a blended leadership development initiative for a large North American Telecommunications Firm inclusive of web-enabled leadership attributes and modules and integration of 360 leader assessment and competencies
  • Partnered with colleagues on the design of an employee engagement focused on Managing Change & Transitions for leaders of a major North American Pharmaceutical Corporation prepped for larger scale “Organizational Change”.
  • Led a large scaled research initiative and delivered findings within the hospitality industry in search of a “Hospitality Gene” for talent recruitment, retention and leadership development efforts.

Shirley earned her undergraduate honors degree at York University and holds a Masters Degree in Adult Education specializing in Curriculum Design from the University of Toronto (OISE) and is currently pursuing her Doctoral studies.
